Having been born a Hindu, and having studied some of the gems of our scriptural heritage, specially the Upanishads, I have always been deeply interested in a re-articulation on the basic Hindu principles so as to make them relevant for the modern age. Not being pegged to any one particular text, teacher or point in time, Hinduism has the unique ability to accept the latest scientific and technological developments without feeling threatened in any way. For me, Hinduism is not only one of the world’s great religions, but also has a crucial role to play in the emerging global society.
